Moved to Ilminster with family early in life - father transferred on railway. In 1904 Bertie was a Lace Factory Hand living at Station Road,Ilminster Joined the Perry Street Teritorial Army, part of Somerset Light Infantry, and served in Schwebo. Burma. Later lived and worked at the Perry Street Lace Factory as LodgeKeeper and Engineers Labourer. |
